Greetings and welcome to this week in Huron Hockey.
The summer season kicks off with the first game this Thursday 7:30pm v. Grand Ledge at Chelsea Arctic Coliseum. Players please arrive 45 min prior to puck drop. Summer jerseys are in and will be distributed Thursday (or at first ice time for players not able to come on Thursday).
Summer games and practices have all been updated on the Huron Hockey calendar, and listed on the website. http://a2huronhockey.weebly.com/summer-2016-info.html.
From the website you can add the calendar to your own calendar system. There are 10 games and 4 practices scheduled. Players who will be absent from a game or practice should notify Coach Phillips and co-captains Ethan and Alex.
Please also check the Special Events and Fundraising page on the website for additional activities.
Ice Times this Week and Next:

Currently 9 players are confirmed for the Cube Summer HS Tourney on July 29, 30 & 31. We are not required to have the same roster for this tourney as for the Chelsea league, so if there are friends who are of high school age and wish to play, please add them to the google form. Fees will be calculated separately for the summer season and the tournament. If you have not yet done so, please complete the Google Form at http://goo.gl/forms/4unhXLjIAKT3lHMO2 so we can get an accurate headcount for that weekend.
Please note -- this is the same weekend as the Sodexo Concession fundraiser at the soccer game at Michigan Stadium on Stadium, which we need people to work, especially since players will not be available if we do the tournament. The team will make sure players are fed and watered and supervised between Cube games on Saturday if we participate. We will only do the tournament if enough players are available to play competitive games.
Summer fees will be based on the number of players and the ice costs for Cube practices and Chelsea league games. Please have payment for $100 by check written to "Huron Booster Club" and provided to Julie Hollenshead, Karen Coulter or Roxanne St Pierre by Monday June 20. The balance will be due by July 10.
